Sony is the first brand to release an OLED television, and and surprised the world with the release of the first OLED TV; Sony XEL OLED Television. There are many highlights for the OLED Television. The additional features of this Sony XEL-1 OLED Ultra-Slim Television is its integrated digital TV tuner for Japan, a USB slot, a LAN interface, a single HDMI port, a headphone socket and audio enhancement via S-Force sound system. Sony claims that this television has a life span of 30,000 hours. With terrestrial tuner, HDMI port, speakers, USB port and ethernet jack for a small 11” display, Sony once again proved its innovative skill.
Do not be worried about the size of this TV, it measures just about 287×253×140 mm. It is not only wafer thin, but is equally light too! The XEL OLED Television weighs only 2kg, which is much lighter compared to a flat screen display. Sony selected US, Japan and EU as the maiden market. XEL O-LED Television is now launched in UK also. Dubbed as “Sony Bravia XEL OLED Television”, this display is priced £3,489 in the UK. According to the Sony officials, XEL OLED Television got a great hit globally. They also promised to come up with larger screens considering the enthusiastic welcome for this 11 incher.
