Toshiba 50HP66 is a 50" plasma TV that has been rolled out in the popular HP series by Toshiba. Every specification of this wide screen plasma TV is quite amazing with a matching superb performance. Toshibha has made a few improvements over the older versions of HP series and presented a Plasma TV that can compete the leading plasma TV makers like Samsung, Hitchi and Pioneer. Design wise, this TV has a special word to mention, especially about its thin, glossy frame that surrounds the beautiful screen. The remote of this TV also came handy with a number of useful buttons which are smooth and easy to operate.

Toshiba 50HP66 plasma TV has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels but it can accept a wide range video formats up to 720p. It has come with a image scaler which enhances the pixels when video formats that fall below its native resolution. It is also true with full HDTV materials which look nice after scaling down to suit the screen. This TV has come with ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners which help this TV to present the SDTV and DTV sources with great picture quality. This TV has a superb contrast ratio 10000:1 and offers deep black levels. When dark scenes are shown, they appear great with more details and greater depth. The colour reproduction is quite nice with colours having naturalness and true-to-life quality. This Plasma TV also offers various input options and a few output options. There are two HDMI inputs which you can use to receive HDTV broadcast or connect HDTV video sources like DVDs. Both the TVs have glossy screens which are coated with anti-glare substance that ensure glare-free display in ambient conditions.
