Named Samsung FPT5094W 50” Plasma Television, this is a Full HD display that kicks you off into the new level of digital entertainment. As Samsung is one of the soaring brand in plasma industry, the expected picture quality and performance is much high. It is a fact that this television is capable of hitting the performance target easily!
With a decent contrast ratio of 10,000:1 (though it is low in papers, the real time performance is competent to any other television with high contrast ratio)and ultra filterbright anti-glare screen gies hand in hand to render good pics. There is no “magical” specs installed in this television! Taking a brief glance in to the specifications, you will find that this glossy black svelte display comes with natural true colour 18 bit colour processing, in-built stereo duo speakers with 30Watts output, 60,000 hours panel life, energy star compliance, etc.
Eager to know more about the connectivity options? Well, this sleek beauty comes with a pair of composite video connection, couple of S-Video, dual component video connection and three HDMI (v1.3) inputs along with the PC input and USB port. Enough of digging on the same spot; now let us take a ride on the real time performance of this television. If you ask me, it is more relevant than digging on what is scribbled on papers!
There is one disappointing factor that you cannot plug in the video inputs directly to the television. Wondering if I’m blabbering? Hey.. you cannot connect your gaming console to this television. Sending the video signals via wireless box may cause some delay. A 30seconds delay is not a big issue while watching a television programme or live telecast. But imagine your Wii acting sluggishly??? Weird, right? It is unfortunate that Samsung designers forgot to include a video input in the television as well. If it was there, we could have at least plugged the console directly to the telly!
Apart from this, Samsung FPT5094W Full HD Plasma Television is an excellent display with amazing video performance (audio performance too..) However, hardcore Gamers… please stay away from this telly to avoid unpleasant surprises..
