Several innovative features have been included in this new model like plasma display technology, fan-less video monitor, BBE and SRS surround sound processing, HDTV signal compatibility etc.
Display Features
You can view stunning images using a 42 inches wide screen. A fan-less video monitor has been equipped in the unit which incorporates a Motion DSCTM Digital Processor and 3:2 pull-down processing. This built-in 3:2 pull down processing detects and converts film content to view promptly. The screen can function quietly as it does not include fans. It supports a resolution up to 852 x 480 pixels both horizontally and vertically.
Analogue signals can be converted into digital signals with the help of built-in 3D comb filter. This feature is helpful for cross colour interference elimination and accurate processing. You can set ‘digital zoom’ mode to avoid black bars on the screen. SXGA support is another advantage of Sampo PME42S6 Plasma Television which accepts both HDTV and PC signals. These signals can be mapped digitally to fit within 852 x 480 pixels. The screen can support 16:9 aspect ratio and digital DVI with HDCP.
Video Compatibility
It has come with 2 HD component video inputs. They can synchronize the display for matching the incoming signals automatically. These components have been featured with auto detection capability. As the unit has been equipped with HDTV compatibility, it can support both 1080i and 720p HDTV signals with the support of an external HDTV decoder. This decoder comes with component or RGB video outputs. It has the compatibility to support various types of video signals like 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i.
Audio Features
Amplifier and speakers have been embedded for excellent audio effects. Realistic audio output is achieved through BBE and SRS Surround Sound processing.
Design
This slim design allows you to place it either in wall or on a stand. The unit weighs 68 lbs and you can get one year warranty for this package. Remote handset, 2 AA (R6) batteries and a power cord are the accessories offered with the main unit.
