Twitter added to Panasonic HDTVs

panasonic plasma tv 300x264 Twitter added to Panasonic HDTVsPanasonic has recently announced that it will add Twitter to various built-in web entertainment technologies on their Blu-ray disc players and VIERA CAST enabled HDTV. Panasonic already gives Netflix, Skype, Fox Sports, Pandora, YouTube,  weather services,  weather services, Amazon Video-On-Demand and  Bloomberg on VIERA plasma televisions with the built-in IPTV functionality. With this addition, television is close to a social networking site.

According to Panasonic, three years ago the company has introduced Panasonic VIERA CAST Internet Protocol Television(IPTV) with top social networking and entertainment sites in the world. Interactive options is further enhanced with the inclusion of Twitter to VIERA CAST HDTVs so that the users can interact and communicate with friends and family any where in the world. VIERA CAST enabled HDTVs enable the consumers to  video chat through Skype, tweet on Twitter,  share digital photos  through Google Picasa and share videos on YouTube.
