Sky to Launch UK’s First 3D TV Channel in 2010

It is been reported that anyone who wants to watch the 3D shows will have to own a Sky HD box and upgrade their current high definition television sets to a 3D-ready televisions that are expected to go on sale in 2010. also viewers are required to wear polarising glasses.

Sky was the first company in Europe to broadcast a live event in 3D in April. Also, as per records, the nation’s first HD service was launched by Sky about three years ago. Sky chief, Brian Sullivan has reportedly stated that 3D is a truly “seeing is believing” experience and this innovation is targeted at making TV come to life.

Pricing details are yet to be released.
