Panasonic’s Amagasaki Plasma panel plant in Japan is all set to act as the supply base for its upcoming 3D TV launches. As the world over is quite interested in 3D TVs, Panasonic has already forayed into the 3D TV market and is, in fact, making great progress. Panasonic plans to start selling 3D TVs in the very near future, by 2010. Panasonic, global leader in Plasma TV manufacture, feels that the launch of its 3D TVs will hopefully bolster the sales of Plasma TVs as well.
Panasonic proclaims that Plasma panels and 3D technology have in common “high technological affnity”. With Pioneer, Hitachi and other major players having withdrawn from the Plasma TV market, Panasonic is just about the only global player that manufactures and develops plasma panels. Not without reason though, since demand for the Plasma TVs remain quite strong in China and North America, even today, where the large screen TVs are more popular. And since it may check the encroachment of LCD TVs and LED TVs, Panasonic’s 50 inches 3D Plasma TV is much awaited and is extremely crucial for the company as well as the world TV market.
