Panasonic completes construction of its largest Plasma Plant

panasonic plasma plant 300x199 Panasonic completes construction of its largest Plasma PlantPanasonic has completed the construction of its largest Plasma plant, located in Amagasaki, Japan. This is the third Panasonic plant that has come up in Amagasaki. This plant is capable of producing Plasma TV screens upto the size of 150 inches. In fact, from the single glass chunk that is used for producing a 150 inch screen, this plant can make upto nine 50 inch sets. And, the plant’s process technology allows for producing screens with reduced afterglow levels and better 3D performance too.

Upon reaching full production levels, this plant will have an optimum production rate of 1 million Plasma TVs of smaller sizes, per month. Panasonic is quite confidently hoping that these screens consume lesser power and turn out to be energy efficient as well. Eventhough LCD TVs and LED TVs are taking over the television industry slowly but surely, Plasma TVs are still quite popular in many parts of the world, even today. And Panasonic is quite bravely following that trend with great success.
