ofcom Ofcom Released Guidelines For Wireless Television SetsOfcom, the regulatory body has released the latest spectrum guidelines for the wireless television sets in the UK. Ofcom personnels has revealed that they are planning to free up a small portion of the high radio frequency spectrum for the consumer electronics manufacturer. They revealed that the 57GHz to 66GHz spectrum segment is likely to be released by this week end for this purpose.

Ofcom officials expressed their optimism in the development of in-home wireless network opportunities, which include wireless televisions as well. Since high RF is released for the consumer electronics manufacturers, data transfer can be done in high rates.

Panasonic has already announced the release of their wireless plasma television sets over next few weeks. It is also said that LG is also planning to take the wraps off their wireless display quite soon.
