OLED is speculated as one of the hottest display technologies; most of the display manufacturers are expected to turn up with large screen OLED in a short span of time. Here comes a disappointing news from the South Korean Consumer Electronics giant, LG Corp. Kwon Young Soo, LG’s CEO has announced that they are planning to produce 32 inch OLED Televisions in 2012.
LG has already showcased its 15 inch OLED prototype, but they are still tight lipped about the release date of this screen. According to the recent reports, LG seems to be highly interested in the OLED technology. It is said that LG is planning to hire 1700 people for producing OLED displays!
Young Soo has also revealed that they are planning to focus more into the larger displays than the cell phone panels. He justified the above statement by including that OLED technology is more efficient when it is used for making larger displays.
