LG has unveiled, what it proclaims to be the world’s slimmest LED TV as yet. When lots and lots more of manufacturers are searching for that elusive superlative, LG has quite nonchalantly launched an extremely slim 2.6 mm LED TV. The Las Vegas Consumer Electronics show in 2010 will be its official launchpad. Its bulky TV tuners and connections are housed in a separate box as such.
This LED TV makes use of the edge lit LED technology that allows for slimmer panels and also the uniform distribution of lights behind the screen. Its Korean rival, Samsung, has been, more or less, caught napping by this LED prototype from LG. And so, world, if you have been looking elsewhere, look here, as far as the LED TV market is concerned, it is going to be the clash between the two giants, Samsung and LG. But it is only for the good of the LED TV business. Well, Kudos to LED TVs then.
