LG has rolled out its much awaited OLED TV. OLED is nothing but Organic Light Emitting Diode. Consumers can now lay hands on this 15 inch technological marvel from LG, which is the largest OLED TV in the market. OLED is a real hot technology that is soon bound to be seen on gadgets that require a screen, such as televisions, monitors and so on. OLED comprises of organic molecules that go on to create light upon applying electricity.

OLED technology provides brighter as well as crisper displays. It also uses lesser power than the conventional LCDs and LEDs, since it does not need backlighting. Currently, OLED is an expensive technology but the prices may come down as more and more gadgets hit the market and as time goes by. As a part of the strategy in pushing OLED technology to the masses, LG is investing multi millions into tripling its OLED displays production capacity.
