LED TV demand in the China Market is all set to reach the 4 million mark by 2010. And what’s more, this figure is set to touch the 8 million mark by 2011. According to reports, the primary reason for this sudden upsurge in LED TV demand is that both the domestic and the international players are promoting the product in a quite a remarkable and aggressive way in the mainstream LED TV market. The total market share of LED TVs is expected to go up by 30% in the above mentioned time periods.
In the midst of growing speculations among some Chinese TV vendors that the LED TV promotion is more of a marketing gimmick for improving brand image rather than an aggressive demonstration of developing the LED TV market, some major Chinese TV vendors such as Konka, Skyworth, TCL and Hisenses see the LED Backlit model TVs as their future focus, on the otherhand. Infact, this trend opens up opportunities in cost competitiveness for some major Taiwan based players such as Tekcore and Formosa Epitaxy. Overall, the Chinese LED TV market is experiencing one of the best upswings.
