Intel has showcased its new Display Technology at the CES, 2010. Watching on-screen action on your 40 inch HD Plasma TV may become a lot tidier, with thanks to Intel’s new display technology, Widi, that has made its debut at CES, 2010. Widi, the short form for wireless display, enables a wireless network transmission of videos, a process that is controlled by personal computers which run the Intel core processors onto HDTVs. A Netgear adaptor, called the Push2TV is needed to pick up signals.
Intel opines that this connection is a snap that produces not only great image clarity but also amazing sound levels as well – quite easily too, at the push of a button. The WiDi technology maybe a luxury now, but soon, it will come as a bundled package with Core i3 and Core i5 notebooks. Hot on the Widi wheels are Toshiba and Sony. The Toshiba Satellite E205 is a classical example for intel’s new display technology, WiDi, that will hit the UK market by 2010 summer.
