LG 60PB4D-UB Plasma TV displays images of1080p resolution with unrivalled picture quality. The image scaler incorporated in this unit can do both scaling-up and scaling-down. When you connect this TV with a full HDTV video source like DVD or HDTV channel, the pictures received from the sources are made to fit into the native resolution of this unit by scaling down of pixels. The image scaler also enhances the SDTV and other non-HDTV source matierials by its scaling-up technique and produces crisp, smooth and sharp pictures. LG’s unique XD engine combined with enhanced noise reduction feature provides the best viewing experience that we have ever seen. The scaling techniques which are used to process the pictures which fall shorter than its native resolution are quite impressive. The performance of a Plasma TV often depends on the specs of the TV. The specs of this TV are quite decent the dynamic contrast ratio is up to 3000:1 and the maximum brightness is 1000cd/m2. The pictures, whether from SDTV or HDTV, look sharp and realistic with excellent black levels and colour saturation.
