Plasma TV is gaining popularity in display market because of its top class performance standards. However, the big
plasma display panels are still out of reach to most of the people and the hindering factor is the expense. JVC,reputed display makers launched a 35” plasma TV with a smart price tag. JVC PD35B50 35 inch Plasma TV is a wide screen 35” display with features like Digital Image Scaling Technology(D.I.S.T), Progressive scan, user friendly on-screen menu, Super DigiPure, Colour Transient Improvement (C.T.I), Video noise reduction, Dynamic Picture processor, Black Level Expander, and so on. The sleep timer is incorporated to this PDP to save power consumption. The features like colour temperature control, 3D Digital Comb Filter, video noise reduction, etc are introduced to render good quality images. The resolution of this JVC Widescreen Plasma TV is 853 x 480 pixels. The brightness is 400Cd/m2, and the contrast ratio is 750:1. The digital television certification is EDTV monitor. A good bunch of connectivity is offered by this plasma. It includes 3 SCART connectors, out of which 2 are RGB compatible, a headphone socket, S-Video input, HD Component input, RF Input, centre channel audio input, audio line-in, composite video/audio input and a subwoofer output.

The multi channel preview includes Picture in Picture that helps the user to watch more than one channel simultaneously. The video interface includes component, composite, S-Video and SCART connections. The PC interface includes VGA(HD-15). The broadcast display format is 480p and the broadcast format supplied is 1080i.The built-in analogue tuners include PAL, SECAM and NTSC. The universal remote control is IR (infrared) based, and the supported devices include VCR and DVD player. The dimensions of JVC PD35B50 are 63.4 x 90.7 x 11.7cm. Teletext feature with 1500 pages memory is available in this Plasma display. NTSC Playback on PAL TV is possible. The operational Power consumption is 244W and the stand by power consumption is 0.3W. This is a good choice, especially for studies and smaller interiors.
