Wireless Televisions Are Ready For Sales In The UK

wall mounted television Wireless Televisions Are Ready For Sales In The UKConventional televisions offer a spaghetti junction of cables and wires, as they cannot communicate with other devices in wire-free mode. Here comes the futuristic televisions that can literally “speak” with other devices like DVD players, gaming console, Freeview set top box, etc. in wireless medium. This promises appealing aesthetics for your living room, and television will be just another beautiful portrait adoring the wall.

Although wall-mountable televisions are quite common nowadays, one can find numerous wires drooping down the device to other connected equipments. This spoils the beauty of wall mounting, unless you hide the HDTV cables and wires artistically. Now with the advent of wireless televisions, one need not worry about this wire hullabaloo. By the end of July, Panasonic wireless HD plasma televisions will be all set for sales in the UK.

Here comes the reason. Ofcom, the regulatory agency has to release a part of radio spectrum to the display manufacturers for the wireless televisions. It is mandatory to have the permission from Ofcom to use wireless technology; not only in televisions, it is the same in the case of other electronic gadgets like laptops, mobile phones, car fobs, etc.

It is reported that by the end of this week, Ofcom will release a small segment of radio spectrum to the manufacturers. As said, 57GHz to 66GHz segment will be released to the consumer electronics manufacturers. It is announced that Panasonic will unveil their 46 inch(Panasonic TC-46Z1 Plasma Display) and 54 inch displays (Panasonic TC-54Z1 Plasma Display) as their maiden wireless television.

It comes with a separate transmitter which can be connected to the other AV devices. The transmitter can speak to the display in wireless mode, and hence it can be hidden in a cupboard. This reduces the numerous cables and wires into a single power cable. Truly good, isn’t it?

Panasonic officials revealed that the High RF helps the display to transceive loads of high definition information without compressing it. Hence break-up in the picture is out of question. However, this candy floss is indeed expensive; as pricey as £5,000 for 54-inch display. LG, the chief opponent of Panny in the man-to-man competition disclosed their hope to unveil a wireless television by the end of 2009.
