Taking this factor into account, most of the display manufacturers have introduced low-power televisions. LED Televisions were introduced by Samsung as the result of “power stepping down” processes. Now Sharp has also marked their position with the release of the latest LE700 series of HDTV with LED backlight systems. This newfangled series is included in the AQUOS category, and comes with delightful features.

Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, an eye-popping contrast of 2,000,000:1, 10-bit processing panel, X-Gen Panels, 120Hz frame rates, etc. includes the high-end goodies crammed into this screen. The viewing angle of 176 degrees ensures good viewability from almost all viewing positions. Available in four different flavours 32, 40, 46 and 55inches this Aquos Television is a futuristic model with everything what you want in a good HDTV.

Unfortunately Sharp has not included Local Dimming feature in their maiden LED series. Local Dimming is included in a handful of high-end displays from the leading innovative brands. Full Array LED backlight system is housed in this Sharp LED Television to make it exceptionally good when it comes to performance. The zero-usage of mercury makes it a perfect choice for eco-pals as well. Sharp promises a lifespan of 100,000 hours for this television. Expected to be launched in UK by August 2009, the pricing info of this telly is yet to be disclosed.
