With many of the major players deserting the waning plasma display market, the techno freaks are anxious about the future of Plasma Television. NEC Electronics is one of the leading companies in Europe that makes excellent displays with superb features and premium picture quality. The best part of NEC plasma displays were the reasonable pricing, which made it very popular.
Plasma televisions were widely accepted few years back, and offered much better performance than the LCD displays. However LCD manufacturers turned out to be more enthusiastic to debut high-end models with revolutionary technologies. In last three years, the LCD technology was changed upside down and the manufacturers are offering better displays with seamless features and ace connectivity. They forecasted that by 2010 90% of the market will be monopolised by LCD televisions, regardless the slashed prices of plasma components. However Panasonic, Samsung and LG have announced their recent plasma line-ups, which gives a ray of hope to the plasma display market.
